What is the Unified Communications Proxy?
The Unified Communications Proxy is a feature unique to Tenors. The UCP allows Tenor's integrated switching to provide 'Any to Any' connectivity, allowing you to connect SIP to SIP, TDM to TDM, SIP to TDM and TDM to SIP. This flexibility assures easy integration with any network you're on.

Another exciting feature of the UCP is that it can also support multiple gateways off of one Microsoft mediation server. This allows enterprises to support gateways which may be deployed in multiple locations within the headquarters, most likely for analog devices, such as fax machines.

This feature also allows enterprises to deploy additional Tenor gateways to support branch offices with legacy PBXs, IP-PBXs, analog and modem-based endpoints, without needing to deploy a Mediation Server at every branch location. This means that Tenor will provide PSTN connectivity and integrate the legacy equipment in the Branch office via the central Tenor and mediation server that connects to the OCS.
